Aber’s Towing Gears Up for 75th Anniversary Bash with Epic Car Show & Touch-A-Truck Event

Aber’s Towing Gears Up for 75th Anniversary Bash with Epic Car Show & Touch-A-Truck Event

ASHLAND, OH – Big rigs, bounce houses, and a legacy 75 years in the making? It’s all happening Saturday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Aber’s Towing & Crane Service, and you’re invited!

This year marks a milestone celebration for Aber’s — three quarters of a century of keeping Ashland County rolling since opening its doors in 1950. And to celebrate, the company is going full throttle with its 3rd Annual Car Show & Touch-A-Truck Spectacular, an action-packed, family-friendly day that promises fun for all ages — and free admission for spectators.

“We’re turning 75 this year, so we wanted to go big,” said Cameron Fowler, logistics coordinator for Aber’s. “This is more than a car show. It’s a party for the entire community.”

Get Ready to Touch, Dunk, and Chow Down

Visitors will get up close and personal with some of the biggest, baddest machines around — from classic show cars to monster tow trucks and emergency vehicles, thanks to participation from local first responders.

Kids won’t be left in the dust: there’ll be bounce houses, a dunk tank, and free giveaways including seat belt cutters, custom Aber’s coloring books, and branded swag for families to take home. And yes — everything’s free.

Feeling hungry? Don’t worry — food trucks and drink vendors will be on site serving up delicious options to keep you fueled for the fun.

Giving Back with Mayhem Mission

Vehicle registration for the car show is just $10, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit Mayhem Mission, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting veterans, first responders, and those in need. A representative from the organization will be on hand to explain how your donations will make a difference.

Where the Rubber Meets the Road

Aber’s has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1950. Founded by Miles and Alene Aber, the company started with just two employees and a dream — and has since grown into one of the region’s most trusted names in towing and crane services.

From a single alignment shop behind today’s Surrey Inn to a 24/7 AAA service provider, to a GMC truck dealer and beyond, Aber’s has kept Ashland moving for 75 years and counting.

“This is about honoring the past and celebrating the future,” Fowler said. “We want to thank the community for supporting us all these years — and give everyone a day to remember.”
