Ashland Post Trooper of the Year Trooper Kevin Peshek

(Ashland) – Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Kevin Peshek has been selected as the 2025 Trooper of the Year of the Ashland Post.

The selection of Trooper Kevin Peshek, age 29, is in recognition of outstanding service during the 2025 calendar year at the Ashland Post. Fellow officers elected Trooper Peshek based on his leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.

Trooper Peshek joined the Highway Patrol in 2017 and was a member of the 162nd Academy Class and earned his commission in 2017.   Trooper Peshek began his career at the Ashland Post.

Trooper Peshek is originally from Medina, Ohio and was a 2014 graduate of Kingsway Christian School.  Trooper Peshek earned the Master Trooper status in 2025 and is an active member of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Honor Guard.  He has received awards for safe driving and physical fitness. He earned the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Criminal Patrol Award in 2021, which is given annually to troopers who excel in felony enforcement.  He continues to maintain high standards on a daily basis.

The Ashland Post is proud to present Trooper Kevin Peshek as their Post Trooper of the Year and he is now in contention for the District and State Trooper of the Year Award.
