Classic Model T Cars to Stop in Jeromesville Sunday Morning

JEROMESVILLE — History will roll through the village of Jeromesville on Sunday, August 31, as more than 75 Model T Fords are expected to make a morning stop downtown.

The event is being coordinated with the help of local business owner Jeremiah Cordes, who operates Jville Daily Grind Coffee Shop at 6 North High Street. Cordes explained that the stop is part of a tour organized by Jim Cook and his Model T car club called “The all Ohio Model T Jamboree.”

“Jim approached me back on Memorial Day to see if Jeromesville could host a stop along their route,” Cordes said. “We’re excited to welcome them. The Farmstead Kitchen will provide fresh donuts, and Jville Daily Grind will have hot coffee ready for the drivers and anyone visiting.”

The Model Ts are scheduled to arrive around 9:30 a.m. and will remain in town until approximately 10 to 10:15 a.m. before continuing to their next destination. The cars will be parked at the Jeromesville American Legion and Fire Department parking lot, where the public is invited to view them up close.

“This is actually the second year for this particular run, but as far as I know, it’s the first time they’ve stopped in Jeromesville,” Cordes said. “It’s a great chance for people to come out, grab some donuts or coffee, and see these amazing pieces of automotive history.”

Cordes encouraged visitors to stop by Jville Daily Grind on the square for a latte as part of the morning festivities. “We serve Goldberry’s coffee, and I think they’re the best lattes around,” he added with a smile.

The event is free and open to the public.
