Discount Drug Mart Update
ACP News reported last night that Discount Drug Mart on Claremont Avenue in Ashland is temporarily closed following action by the Ashland County Board of Health, which declared a severe rodent infestation an “imminent health hazard.”
ACP News spoke with the store manager, who said an official statement will be released soon. The Ashland County Health Department also confirmed they are preparing a release. They added that while the main store remains closed, the pharmacy’s drive-through service has reopened to handle prescriptions.
Health officials further confirmed that Miller’s was inspected the same day and cleared without issue. Miller’s has released a brief statement, which will be combined with the upcoming releases from Discount Drug Mart and the Health Department.
