Free Community Showings of “It’s a Wonderful Life” on December 21
A Christmas Classic Returns to the Big Screen at the Ashland Theatre
ASHLAND — Ashland families will once again have the chance to experience one of the most beloved Christmas films of all time on the big screen. The historic Ashland Theatre has announced two free showings of It’s a Wonderful Life on Sunday, December 21, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Ashland residents Pat Arter and Diane Boenker.
The timeless 1946 classic starring James Stewart, Donna Reed, Lionel Barrymore, Thomas Mitchell, and Henry Travers has been a holiday favorite for generations. The film follows George Bailey, a man who has spent his entire life putting others before himself in the small town of Bedford Falls. When a devastating Christmas Eve financial crisis strikes, George begins to question his worth—until an angel named Clarence steps in to show him the impact one life can have.
Ashland Theatre Executive Director Chris Skinner said the community is invited to enjoy this heartwarming tradition together.
“Join us December 21st at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.,” Skinner said. “This is a free movie generously sponsored by Pat Arter and Diane Boenker of Ashland. No tickets are required, but seating is limited. Doors will open 45 minutes before showtime. Merry Christmas.”
Both showings—1:00 PM and 7:00 PM—will take place in the Main Theatre at 212 Center Street, Ashland, OH 44085.
With limited seating available and no tickets needed, guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure their spot and enjoy an uplifting holiday outing with family, friends, and neighbors.
Free Showing Times:
