Local Officer and Veteran Aaron Kline Honored Through ALCOVA Mortgage “Hometown Heroes” Program

WOOSTER, Ohio — A local law enforcement officer and military veteran is being recognized for his continued commitment to service both in uniform and within his community.

In a recent press release, ALCOVA Mortgage announced that Aaron Kline has been honored through the company’s Hometown Heroes Program, recognizing individuals who dedicate their lives to serving others.

Kline first answered the call to serve his country when he enlisted in the military in September 1996, motivated by a deep love for his country and a desire to make a difference.

He served four years on active duty and an additional four years in inactive status, ultimately earning the rank of Corporal (E-4).

During his military service, Kline received several recognitions for his dedication and performance, including:

Meritorious Unit Citation

Good Conduct Medal

Letters of Appreciation

Two Meritorious Masts

After completing his military service, Kline was honorably discharged, but his desire to serve others continued.

Following his time in the military, Kline returned to his hometown with a new goal — becoming a police officer and protecting the community he calls home.

“I wanted to have a family and actually make a difference in my hometown,” Kline said.

Today, he continues that mission by serving in local law enforcement, working to keep the community safe while building positive relationships with residents.

Kline’s involvement goes far beyond daily patrol duties. He is also actively engaged in youth outreach programs that help strengthen connections between law enforcement and local families.

His involvement includes programs such as:

Shop with a Cop

ROCK (Reach Out Cops and Kids)

Through these initiatives, Kline helps mentor young people, build trust between police and the community, and support programs designed to positively impact local youth.

According to the release, Kline is also known for stepping in to support community events and initiatives that benefit children whenever possible.

Recognized as a “Hometown Hero”

ALCOVA Mortgage officials said Kline’s dedication, leadership, and heart for serving others make him a fitting recipient of the Hometown Heroes recognition.

The award was presented by members of the ALCOVA Mortgage team in Wooster.

ALCOVA’s Hometown Heroes Program highlights individuals whose lives reflect a commitment to service — whether in the military, first responder roles, or through continued community involvement.

Kline’s story, the company said, is a powerful example of someone who continues answering the call to serve long after his military career ended.
