Mini-Grants Fund Teachers’ Projects

 

ASHLAND – Ashland City Schools Foundation and Ashland County Community Foundation are pleased to announce the recipients of their spring semester Teacher Mini-Grants. 

These mini grants will allow 12 Ashland County educators to implement innovative programs and projects to advance student learning, both in and outside their classrooms.

Grant funding supports these initiatives to enhance learning in subject areas and to make the classroom an optimal learning environment for all.

Grants totaled $3,322 from ACSF and $12,390 from ACCF. The following teachers received grants:

Ashland City Schools Foundation

  • Cameron Dedrick, Ashland City Schools, received a grant for “Arrow Innovation Forge.”
  • Erin Baughman, Taft Intermediate School, “Making Learning Accessible to All Students.”

Ashland City Schools Foundation and Ashland County Community Foundation

  • Samantha Kidd, Edison Elementary School, “Revitalizing The Guided Reading Library.”
  • Shari Harlan, Edison Elementary School, ”Fluency Fun!”
  • Jennifer Fast, Reagan Elementary School, ”Ready Bodies Learning Minds.”

Ashland County Community Foundation

  • Jenny Davis, Ashland Christian School, “All God’s Creatures, Great and Small.”
  • Lillian Woods, Ashland Christian School, ”Small Group Savvy.”
  • Carmen Schlatter, Ashland Middle School, “Building an Enriching Classroom.”
  • Rebecca Cehulik, Ashland Middle School, ”Turn Music Appreciation into Music Creation.”
  • Brooke Power, Hillsdale Local Schools, “Edison Robots.”
  • Hannah Shuck, Taft Intermediate School, “Sensory Equipment.”
  • Kaitlin Jackson, Taft Intermediate School, “Standing Desks for Students.”

Ashland City Schools Foundation and Ashland County Community Foundation accept applications for Teacher Mini-Grants twice annually, with application deadlines in January and September. Grant requests should be for programs and projects that are not covered by school budgets.

For fall semester 2026 grants, any K-12 teacher from any school in Ashland County may apply online at www.ashlandforgood.org/grants by September 15. Applicants from the Ashland City School district will be considered for ACSF grants, and all applicants will be considered for ACCF grants.
