Mutual Aid Crews Respond to Working Shed Fire Near Polk
 
POLK, Ohio — Firefighters from multiple departments responded Tuesday evening to a working shed fire in the Polk area.
 
At 6:54 p.m. on March 17, 2026, the Polk Jackson Perry Fire Department was dispatched to 940 State Route 89 in Polk for a reported shed fire.
 
Due to the active fire, mutual aid was requested from several neighboring departments. Crews from the Ashland Fire Department, Nankin Fire Department, and Sullivan Fire Department responded to the scene, providing additional tankers and manpower to assist with fire suppression efforts.
 
Firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
 
Officials reported no injuries as a result of the incident.
 
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Polk Jackson Perry Fire Department.
