One Dies in Two-Vehicle, Head-On Crash

Norwalk – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle head on crash, that occurred on CR 150 (New State Road), just south of CR 100 (Hanville Corners Road), in Fairfield Township, Huron County. The crash was reported on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at approximately 4:58 pm.

The preliminary investigation showed that a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze, operated by Jina Kaiser, 38, North Fairfield, was traveling southbound on CR 150. Kaiser traveled left of center and struck a northbound 2018 Toyota 4-Runner that was operated by Malinda Hershberger, 35, Willard.

Jina Kaiser was transported to Fisher-Titus Medical Center where she was pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Her passenger, Cody Kaiser, 36, Sandusky, was also transported to Fisher-Titus Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Malinda Hershberger and her two passengers, juveniles aged three and eleven, were transported to Fisher-Titus Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Huron County Sheriff’s Office, North Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department, North Central EMS, and Wilcox Towing.

The incident remains under investigation.
