Rep. Melanie Miller Files Petitions to Seek Third Term Representing Ohio’s 67th House District
(Ashland, Ohio) — State Representative Melanie Miller has officially filed her petitions to seek a third term in the Ohio House of Representatives, and to continue her service to the people of the 67th House District, which includes all of Ashland County and portions of Medina County.
Since first being elected in 2022, Miller has focused on advancing conservative, family-centered policies during her time in the Ohio House, while advocating for fiscal responsibility, public safety, and strong local communities. During her tenure, she has been a leading voice on issues impacting families, women, and children, and has worked closely with local leaders to deliver millions of dollars of state funds to local communities.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the families of Ashland and Medina counties, and together we have accomplished much for our communities,” Rep. Miller said. “We’ve made meaningful progress, and there is still important work ahead to strengthen our communities, lower property taxes, protect life, and ensure Ohio remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
Among her accomplishments, Rep. Miller has championed pro-life legislation, supported measures to improve government accountability, and worked to secure resources for community-based organizations serving women and families. She currently serves as Chair of the House Arts, Athletics, & Tourism committee, and is a member of the Health, Children & Human Services, and Technology & Innovation committees. Rep. Miller also serves as the Chair of the Ohio House Pro-Life Caucus.

o Secured $11 million each fiscal year in Ohio’s State Operating Budget to support travel and tourism, ensuring Ohio is a great place to live, work and raise a family.
● Strengthening Our Economy with Flat Tax:
o Beginning in tax year 2026, the budget lowers Ohio’s top tax rate to 2.75%, streamlining Ohio’s tax code and strengthening revenue.
● Uplifting Mothers, Babies, and Families:
o Secured $10 million each fiscal year in Ohio’s State Operating
Budget for the Parenting and Pregnancy Program, providing grants to pregnancy resource centers.
