Semi Collides with Mennonite Buggy in Huron County, Passenger Life-Flighted
HURON COUNTY – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a semi-truck and a Mennonite buggy that occurred at 9:36 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the intersection of U.S. Route 224 and Edwards Road.
Troopers say the buggy, driven by a 16-year-old Mennonite girl from Willard, was traveling northbound on Edwards Road when she failed to yield and was struck by a 2015 Volvo semi driven by 50-year-old Wilfrand Victor of Dublin.
A passenger in the buggy, 22-year-old Amanda Nolt of Willard, sustained trauma injuries and was transported by Life Flight to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center.
The buggy driver was cited for failure to yield.
The crash remains under investigation by the Huron County Highway Patrol Post.
