Two Kilograms of Methamphetamine Pills Intercepted in Parcel; Richland County Man Arrested

RICHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — A coordinated operation involving federal and local law enforcement agencies has resulted in the interception of a parcel containing approximately two kilograms of methamphetamine pills and the arrest of a Richland County man.

According to the METRICH Enforcement Unit, the investigation began when the U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) Cleveland Field Office alerted authorities about a suspicious package destined for Richland County that was believed to contain illegal narcotics.

Postal inspectors intercepted the parcel and determined it contained approximately two kilograms of pills containing methamphetamine.

On March 10, 2026, the METRICH Enforcement Unit and U.S. Postal Inspectors, assisted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Ashland-Richland Special Operations Response Team (ASORT), carried out a joint operation connected to the intercepted package.

Authorities then executed a search warrant at 4232 Lucas Perrysville Road in Richland County, which had been authorized by Mansfield Municipal Court Judge Kemerer.

During the operation, Benjamin Radojcsics was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, a first-degree felony. He was transported to the Richland County Jail, where he remains incarcerated pending his court appearance.

Investigators say additional evidence was seized at the scene, and more charges could be filed. The case will be reviewed by the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office as the investigation continues.

METRICH Commander Lt. Steve Blust said the operation highlights the importance of cooperation between agencies at multiple levels.

“The collaboration between federal law enforcement agencies and the METRICH Enforcement Unit continues to have a positive impact in removing illegal drugs from coming into the Richland County communities,” Blust said.

METRICH officials are encouraging residents to remain vigilant and report suspected drug activity.

Citizens can submit tips by calling the METRICH Crime Tip Hotline at 419-522-7463, the task force line at 419-755-9728, visiting www.metrich.com, or using the METRICH mobile app.

METRICH is a ten-county decentralized drug task force in North Central Ohio dedicated to reducing the availability of illegal drugs and weapons through proactive enforcement and community cooperation. Officials say public tips and community involvement continue to play an important role in their investigations.
