UPDATE: Car vs. Building: Vehicle Crashes Into Subway at Bell Stores in Hayesville

HAYESVILLE — Saturday afternoon, November 1st, around 4:12 p.m., what appeared to be a simple case of hitting the gas instead of the brake at the Bell Stores in Hayesville had the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office along with Hayesville Fire & EMS responding.

Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported by the 80-year-old female from Ashland.

Subway manager Becky Starr said, the restaurant has fully reopened its doors at 7 a.m. this morning. “We’re thankful no one was seriously hurt, and we were able to get back to serving our customers,” Starr said.

On a lighter note, one young man who happened to be standing in line waiting for his sandwich when the accident occurred — your order is waiting! You can now safely come back and pick it up.
