US 30 Westbound Remains Closed After Fatal Crash in Vermillion Township

VERMILLION TOWNSHIP — The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) says U.S. Route 30 eastbound has reopened following a fatal crash Friday morning, while westbound lanes remain closed as of 10:00 a.m.

According to Ohio Department of Transportation, traffic is being detoured around the closure. Motorists traveling westbound are advised to follow the posted detour: U.S. 60 North to State Route 511 South to U.S. 30 West.

First responders were dispatched to the scene in Vermillion Township at approximately 6:04 a.m. Friday. Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that the Ashland Fire Department and Hayesville Fire Department & EMS responded.

Additional details regarding the crash have not yet been released.

Authorities continue to investigate, and drivers are urged to use caution, expect delays, and follow all posted detours while westbound lanes remain closed.
