Zumbathon to Raise Funds for Safe Haven This Saturday in Ashland
ASHLAND, OH — Lace up your sneakers and get ready to dance for a cause! Safe Haven of Ashland is hosting its annual Zumbathon on Saturday, June 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Foundation Plaza in downtown Ashland.
The two-hour, high-energy Zumba session will be packed with fun, music, and movement — and it’s all for a good cause. Proceeds from the event will directly support Safe Haven, a local program under Rape Crisis Domestic Violence Safe Haven (RCDV) that provides services and shelter for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Participants who pre-register today can take advantage of a discounted rate of $15, while day-of registration will be $20. Children 12 and under can participate for free, and the event is family-friendly, with kid-appropriate songs played every 30 minutes.
In addition to dancing, attendees can enjoy food trucks, raffle baskets, and community fun. Each registration comes with one free raffle ticket, with prize baskets valued at $100 or more. Additional tickets will be available for purchase at the event.
“We are dancing for a difference!” event organizers said. “Every dollar raised helps us continue to serve survivors in Ashland County through Safe Haven’s vital programs.”
If it rains, the event will be moved to the Ashland YMCA.
