METRICH Drug Roundup Leads to Mansfield Search, $14,327 Seized

MANSFIELD, Ohio — A drug trafficking roundup Tuesday led investigators to search a Dawson Avenue residence, where authorities reported seizing crack cocaine, materials used to manufacture it and $14,327 in cash.

The METRICH Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, conducted the Oct. 20 operation targeting 10 people indicted on drug trafficking charges following a lengthy investigation in the Mansfield area.

During the roundup, task force members arrested Ryan Boyd at 86 Dawson Avenue. Officers observed evidence of drug trafficking in plain view while making the arrest, according to an Oct. 21 METRICH news release.

Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence. Along with the drugs, manufacturing materials and cash, authorities seized a currency-counting machine.

Two people, Andrea Collier and Antonio Hobbs, remained at large when the release was issued Wednesday. Authorities encouraged both to surrender.

METRICH identified the 10 people targeted in the operation as Ryan Boyd, Hendrick Bradley, Andrea Collier, Daquan Hilory, Antonio Hobbs, Thomas Ison, Torme Johnson, Darius Jones, Jesse Laster and Dewaun West-Mack.

According to investigators, all 10 have been linked to Lamar Johnson, Rashad Keith and Cy Ison, who are being held at the Richland County Jail on drug-related charges.

Johnson and Keith were arrested in August following an investigation that resulted in the seizure of approximately two kilograms of cocaine. Both were charged with drug possession and complicity offenses, METRICH said.

In September, investigators seized $84,510 in connection with Cy Ison’s suspected drug trafficking activities.

Anyone with information about Collier’s or Hobbs’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED (1-866-492-6833) or METRICH at 419-52CRIME (419-522-7463). Residents may also report suspected drug activity to METRICH.

The investigation remains ongoing. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
