Tomorrow’s the Big Day! Police Fishing Derby and R.O.C.K. Event Promise an Afternoon of Family Fun
ASHLAND — Grab your fishing poles and bring the kids, tomorrow’s Police Fishing Derby is bringing much more than fishing to Ashland!
The Ashland Police Division’s event takes place Saturday, Oct. 3, from noon to 3 p.m. at 2347 Cottage Street, combining the annual fishing derby with a R.O.C.K. Reach Out Cops and Kids, event for an afternoon packed with activities.
Organizers say they are “pulling out all the stops” this year, with games, prizes, inflatables and a food truck joining the fishing fun. The event is for children and teens up to age 17.
Not interested in casting a line? No problem! Kids can enjoy the other activities, and families do not need to register if they do not plan to fish.
Registration for the fishing derby is open now at ashland.7lsi.com. Participants can also sign up at the registration table when they arrive.
Whether your young angler is hoping to reel in a catch or your family is coming for the games and inflatables, tomorrow offers a chance to enjoy an afternoon together and connect with local police officers.
Bring the kids, bring your enthusiasm, and get ready for some serious fun!
