20-Year-Old Woman Killed, Four Injured in U.S. Route 6 Crash

FREMONT, Ohio — A 20-year-old Whitehouse woman was killed and four other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Sandusky County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:32 p.m. Aug. 17 at the intersection of U.S. Route 6 and State Route 53 in Ballville Township.

A preliminary investigation by the Fremont Post found that Dylon Sinley, 23, of Seville, was driving a 2004 Saturn ION northbound on State Route 53 when he allegedly failed to yield while turning left. The Saturn was struck by a southbound 2019 GMC Sierra driven by Angela Ebbing, 59, of Troy.

Nacole Bartolet, 20, of Whitehouse, a passenger in the Saturn, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sinley and another passenger, Leia McIntire, 22, of Wooster, sustained serious injuries. Both were transported by ground ambulance to Mercy Health–St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.

Ebbing and her passenger, Michael Ebbing, 64, also of Troy, were transported to ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office, Sandusky County EMS, Ballville Township Fire Department, Sandusky County Coroner’s Office and Madison Motors.

The crash remains under investigation.
