22-Year-Old Lexington Man Dies After Crash in Ontario Walmart Parking Lot
ONTARIO, OH — A 22-year-old Lexington man died following a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning in the Walmart parking lot in Ontario, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:55 a.m. Aug. 23, 2026.
The Mansfield Post of the Highway Patrol reported that Max Longwell was driving a black 2023 Chevrolet Malibu through the parking lot when the vehicle struck a block retaining wall.
Longwell was transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Mansfield Post.
The Ontario Police Department and Lawrence’s Towing assisted at the scene.
