Columbus Man Killed on I-71 in Morrow County
HARMONY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Columbus man was killed Thursday night after a vehicle struck him in the northbound lanes of Interstate 71 in Morrow County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 10:23 p.m. Sept. 24 near milepost 147. Troopers said Brandon Miller, 38, was standing in the roadway when a northbound 2025 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Brandon Diguilio, 42, of North Ridgeville, struck him.
Morrow County EMS pronounced Miller dead at the scene. Diguilio remained at the scene and was not injured, the patrol said.
The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Big Walnut Joint Fire District, Morrow County Fire Department, Morrow County Prosecutor’s Office and Morrow County Coroner assisted at the scene. The Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
