Kindness Behind the Badge: Local Woman Praises Ashland County Deputy

ASHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — A local woman is thanking an Ashland County Sheriff’s Office deputy for the kindness and compassion he showed during a traffic stop Wednesday morning.

 

Sara Olmstead said the deputy stopped her and her husband and was exceptionally friendly, outgoing and caring throughout the encounter.

 

“I’ve never had an officer be so outgoing and caring,” Olmstead wrote. “I didn’t get to catch his name, so I thought maybe you guys could get him this picture and tell him I said thank you once again, and he deserves a raise in my book!”

 

The encounter is a reminder that professionalism, kindness and respect can leave a lasting impression on the people law enforcement officers serve.
