Mansfield Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on South Trimble Road
MANSFIELD, OH — A 27-year-old Mansfield man was killed Tuesday night in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Madison Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers from the Mansfield Post responded to South Trimble Road near West Cook Road at approximately 11:27 p.m. on August 25.
The preliminary investigation indicates Wesley Perdue was traveling south on South Trimble Road aboard a 2009 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic when the motorcycle went off the right side of the roadway while negotiating a curve and struck a sign.
Perdue was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mansfield Police Department, Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Mansfield Fire Department, Madison Fire Department, Mansfield Street Department, Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and Ronk’s Towing assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Mansfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
