Ashland County Court to Mail Jury Notices and Summonses by Postcard

ASHLAND, Ohio — If a jury notice shows up in your mailbox as a postcard, It’s official. The Ashland County Court of Common Pleas is switching from traditional envelopes to postcards for jury service notices and summonses.

Judge David R. Stimpert announced the change as part of a new program aimed at making jury service easier for the court to administer. The court asks prospective jurors to read both sides of the postcard carefully. The back includes instructions on how to respond and when to report, if required.

Anyone unsure whether a postcard came from the court can call 419-282-4291, the number listed on the court’s official website.
