Mansfield Man Arrested Following METRICH Drug Investigation, Firearms and Cash Seized

MANSFIELD, Ohio — A Mansfield man is behind bars following a drug investigation that led to the execution of a search warrant and the seizure of drugs, firearms, and thousands of dollars in cash.
According to a METRICH Enforcement Unit news release, detectives, along with the Mansfield Police Department and members of the Ashland/Richland Special Operations Response Team (ASORT), executed a drug-related search warrant on April 27, 2026, at a residence located at 777 Highland Avenue in Mansfield.
The warrant was authorized by Mansfield Municipal Court Judge David Badnell.
During the search, investigators reportedly seized approximately 73 grams of suspected cocaine, two rifles — identified as a Ruger 25-06 and a Century Arms .762 caliber — and a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun. A flare gun, along with $13,258.50 in U.S. currency and additional drug-related evidence, was also recovered.
Authorities arrested Timothy Bush, 27, of Mansfield, who was subsequently incarcerated on multiple felony charges. These charges include one count of trafficking in cocaine (F-1), one count of possession of cocaine (F-1), two counts of trafficking in cocaine (F-3), one count of trafficking in cocaine (F-5), and one count of having weapons under disability (F-3).
Officials indicated that additional drug-related charges may be presented to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office as the investigation continues.
METRICH officials stated the task force will continue targeting individuals involved in the distribution of illegal drugs and weapons in the region.
