Marion Troopers Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Crash
MARION, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Marion Post is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the life of a Marion man early Friday morning.
According to troopers, the one-vehicle crash happened on June 12, 2026, at approximately 12:18 a.m. on Presidential Drive near Willow Street in the City of Marion.
The crash involved a 2019 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special motorcycle operated by 30-year-old Linken J. Tyler, of Marion, Ohio.
The preliminary investigation indicates Tyler was traveling northbound on Presidential Drive when he failed to maintain reasonable control of the motorcycle and struck a curb. Tyler was then separated from the motorcycle.
Tyler was transported from the scene by Marion City EMS to Marion General Hospital. He was later transferred by Med-Flight Ground to Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marion City Police Department, Marion City Fire and EMS, and Ed’s 24-Hour Service Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
