Polk Firefighters Rodeo Returns This Saturday With Bull Riding, Barrel Racing and Family Fun

ASHLAND — Get ready for a night of high-octane rodeo action as the 3rd Annual Polk Firefighters Rodeo returns to the Ashland County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

The rodeo, hosted as a fundraiser for the Polk Firefighters Association, will feature bull riding, barrel racing, kids events, food vendors, raffle baskets, 50/50 drawings and other games throughout the evening.

Kids events are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., followed by the main rodeo events at 8 p.m. The event will be held at the Ashland County Fairgrounds, located at 2042 Claremont Ave., Ashland, Ohio.

Justin Spencer, Rodeo Committee Chair. said the event is about more than just an exciting night of rodeo entertainment.

“Once again, we are holding our annual rodeo fundraiser supporting the Polk Firefighters Association,” Spencer said. “The association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting the current and lifetime members of the Polk Jackson Perry Fire District.”

Spencer said all money raised from the rodeo goes toward additional training and equipment for association members. Any remaining funds are donated back to charity and the community.

This year’s event is once again being held in partnership with High Steel Rodeo Company, which Spencer said is the four-time reigning Outdoor Production of the Year for the Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association.

Rodeo fans can expect a strong night of competition, with Spencer saying this year’s lineup will feature six of the top 10 bull riders in the country and five of the top 10 bulls in the country, creating head-to-head action all night long.

Tickets may be purchased online at highsteelrodeo.com and will also be sold at the gate.

The event is scheduled to run from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on June 13.

Organizers are inviting the community to come out, enjoy the rodeo, support local firefighters and help raise money for training, equipment and community causes.
