Elderly Woman Struck by Vehicle Outside Ashland Walmart
ASHLAND — An 86-year-old New London woman was injured after being struck by a vehicle outside the Ashland Walmart Supercenter Wednesday afternoon.
Ashland Police Division officers and Ashland Fire Department personnel responded to the store at 1996 E. Main St. at approximately 1:48 p.m.
According to preliminary information, a small compact SUV driven by a 74-year-old Polk woman struck the pedestrian in front of the store.
The 86-year-old woman was transported for treatment of her injuries. Her condition and the hospital to which she was taken were not immediately available.
No citation was issued. The incident remains under investigation.
