Semi Rollover Reported At State Route 13 And State Route 96
FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP — The Richland Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, along with Franklin Township Fire Department and EMS, responded to a semi rollover crash at 2:36 p.m. this afternoon at the intersection of State Route 13 and State Route 96.
Steven Boyd, 53, of Danville, Ohio, was driving a 2004 Kenworth northbound on State Route 13 when a black pickup truck, traveling westbound on State Route 96, reportedly pulled out in front of the semi at the intersection.
Boyd swerved to the right to avoid the pickup, causing the Kenworth to travel up the hill along State Route 96 before overturning.
Witnesses told authorities the driver of the black pickup truck fled the scene following the crash.
Boyd was treated at the scene for minor injuries. No citation has been issued at this time.
The crash remains under investigation by the Richland Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
