Yoder’s Red Barn Ice Cream Unveils Huge Flavor Lineup, Full Food Menu and Sweet Summer Favorites
ASHLAND — The new barn is open, the scoops are ready, and Yoder’s Red Barn Ice Cream is making one thing very clear this summer:
Ashland better come hungry.
After months of construction, anticipation and banana-split withdrawals, owners Harley and Amanda Yoder are now welcoming customers into the brand-new Yoder’s Red Barn Ice Cream building at 428 Parkside Drive with a massive lineup of ice cream flavors, dairy-free choices, no-sugar-added options, hot food, sides, milkshakes, flurries, slushies, glaciers and sundaes.
In other words, this is not just an ice cream stop anymore.
This is a full-blown summer destination.
The new Red Barn already created excitement when it reopened in its larger building, nearly doubling the space from the former 720-square-foot stand to a 1,560-square-foot gathering place. The upgraded building includes more room, improved workflow, air conditioning, restrooms, upgraded equipment, expanded food capabilities and a setup built for years of memories.
Now, the menu is catching up with the dream.
Harley and Amanda Yoder said customers can expect a wide variety of flavors this year, including some that sound like they were created specifically to test a person’s self-control. Among the new featured flavors are Nuthouse, Peanut Butter Brownie, Bear Claw, Rocky Road, Feelin’ Dangerous, Jacked-Up Tennessee Toffee, Cookie Jar, Carrot Cake, White Lightening, Rocky Mountain Raspberry, Black Raspberry and Blue Moon.
And that is only the beginning.

Longtime favorites are also back, including Chocolate Blackout, Peanut Butter S’Mores, Peanut Butter Swirl, Peanut Butter Pretzel, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Buckeye Blast, Brownie Bandit, Milky Way, Queen of Hearts, Toasted Coconut, Eskimo Kisses, Scout’s Honor Mint, Mint Chocolate Chip, Praline Pecan, Maple Walnut, Pistachio Nut, Butter Pecan, Salty Caramel Truffle, Strawberry, Chocolate and Vanilla.
For those who like their ice cream fruity, colorful or just plain fun, the Red Barn is also serving flavors such as Carolina Peach, Orange Pineapple, Lemon Chillo, Banana Pudding, Blueberry Cheesecake, Blackberry Cheesecake, Cherry Vanilla, Strawberry Cheesecake, Black Cherry, Cherry Amaretto, Cookies ‘N Cream, Black Raspberry Fudge, Cookie Dough, Moose Tracks, Northern Lights sherbet, Cookie Monster, Triple Raspberry Sherbet, Rainbow Sherbet, Orange Sherbet, Super Kid, Play Dough, Cotton Candy and Birthday Confetti Cake.
For customers with dietary preferences, the menu also includes Dairy-Free Cookies ‘N Cream, Dairy-Free Peanut Butter Cookies ‘N Cream and Raspberry Sorbet, along with No-Sugar-Added Chocolate Moose Tracks and No-Sugar-Added Butter Pecan.
But the excitement does not stop at the dipping cabinet.
The Red Barn’s food menu is also ready to help customers turn an ice cream run into lunch, dinner or the kind of “I only came for a cone” visit that somehow ends with waffle fries, a cheeseburger and a milkshake.
Food options include shredded chicken sandwiches, BBQ shredded beef sandwiches, BBQ pulled pork, sloppy joe sandwiches, cheeseburgers, double cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, chicken quesadillas, chicken tenders, corn dogs, hot dogs, coneys, loaded waffle fries and walking tacos.
Sides include onion rings, French fries, mozzarella sticks, deep-fried battered mushrooms, deep-fried pickle spears, sweet potato fries, cheesy tots, waffle fries, soft pretzels with cheese, deep-fried Oreos, deep-fried Nutter Butters and nachos.
Then come the treats that make the menu feel endless.
The flurry lineup includes Oreo, Reese’s Cup, Reese’s Pieces, Kit-Kat, Snickers, Butterfinger, Brownie, Cookie Dough, M&M, Fruity Pebble, Andes Mint, Heath and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Milkshake flavors include Chocolate, Vanilla, Mint, Hot Fudge, Caramel, Butterscotch, Marshmallow, Pineapple, Strawberry and Peanut Butter.
For something cold and colorful, customers can choose from slushies and glaciers in flavors such as Fruit Punch, Mango, Watermelon, Red Raspberry, Blue Raspberry, Orange, Grape, Cherry, Lemon-Lime and Strawberry. Mango is a new addition this year.
And, of course, sundaes are still part of the Red Barn tradition. Toppings include strawberry, pineapple, chocolate syrup, hot fudge, brownie bites, banana, peanut butter, caramel, butterscotch, pecans, peanuts, whipped cream and cherries.
That also means the legendary banana split is still safe. For ACP News, that may be the most important menu item on the board.
The soft serve lineup includes vanilla, chocolate and twist, and the shop also offers bags of chips and plenty of drinks, including water, Gatorade, Body Armor, juices, Pure Leaf sweet tea and soda.
The new building marks a major chapter for Harley and Amanda Yoder, who spent months working through construction, equipment installation, concrete work, flooring, building design and the many challenges that come with growing a small family business into something bigger.
Earlier this year, Harley Yoder said the goal was to build something long-lasting for their family, employees and community. The new building includes more comfort for workers, better space for service, and more room for families, friends, teenagers and neighbors to gather.
Amanda Yoder also shared how excited the family was to finally welcome the community inside the completed building after months away.
Now, with the doors open and the menu loaded, Yoder’s Red Barn Ice Cream is not just back.
It is bigger, colder, sweeter, fuller and ready for summer.
And whether someone stops in for a simple cone, a loaded order of waffle fries, a mango glacier, a Peanut Butter Brownie scoop, a dairy-free treat, or an ACP News-approved banana split, one thing is clear:
Ashland’s sweetest barn is officially ready for business.
